Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (RC 638640), is one of the eleven successor distribution companies of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Kaduna Electric, a registered trademark of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, is licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to distribute and retail electricity within a service coverage area of Northwestern-most of Nigeria. It has its Headquarters in Kaduna, with offices in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

Job Summary
  • Provide support to the Team Leader in achieving the departments objectives.
  • Coordination of all the Billing Server Operations especially in terms of billing servers, vending systems, applications as well as vending stations connectivity.
  • Establish, build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the Billing team, the ICT Department and the entire KADUNA ELECTRIC in general.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the vending station functions of each billing center by communicating regularly with each Billing center manager.
  • Ensure the maintenance of the billing team's day to day processes and procedures, ensuring documentation is up to date and adhere to billing service objectives and business expectations.
  • Supervise vending systems and applications for problem resolution; evaluate network performance and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Resolve issues arising from actions or events involving billing/vending functions throughout the progress of the job from data entry and network access from all vending stations.
  • Enforce compliance to KADUNA ELECTRIC's regulations, guidelines, and requirements for billing system use and operations.
  • Ensure customer details and meter data is accurately updated and maintained on the billing server.
  • Investigate and follow up missing or conflicting billing and meter data.
  • Maintain contact with other departments to obtain and analyze additional billing information for documentation and processing.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor all billing procedures and as well participate with the review, development and implementation of customer services procedures and policies related to use and handling of the billing system, to ensure the goals and objectives of the organization are achieved.
  • Review and interpret operational data to assess need for procedural revisions and enhancements and as well participates in the design and implementation of specific systems to enhance revenue and operating efficiency.
Competency and Skill Requirements
  • Ability to work to set deadlines and within budget.
  • Working innovatively within defined processes.
  • Actively looking for opportunities to improve Service Delivery, Compliance, Audit and Project Management processes within the ICT Department.
  • Working with a variety of other ICT staff and supporting existing processes but seeking to improve where possible.
  • Knowledge working with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience and Minimum Requirements
  • A first degree (or equivalent) and/or a higher degree in Business Information Technology / Systems, Computing, or any related field.
  • Acquisition of an MSc in Management Information Systems, Business and/or Information Technology or an MBA is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of Three Years of Post-Graduation work experience in Business Information Systems, Computing and/or ICT related areas including across-board knowledge of Billing Operations, Customer care, computer systems, hardware, software etc.
  • Demonstrable organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Sound understanding of Billing Operations related skills
  • Professional ICT certificates that include Billing Operations, Statistics, MCSE and Customer Service Delivery will be an added advantage.
