Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company (RC 638640), is one of the eleven successor distribution companies of the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN). Kaduna Electric, a registered trademark of Kaduna Electricity Distribution Company, is licensed by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) to distribute and retail electricity within a service coverage area of Northwestern-most of Nigeria. It has its Headquarters in Kaduna, with offices in Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara States.

Kaduna Electric is looking to employ young, vibrant professionals to fill the position below in the Marketing and Customer Services Department:

Job Summary
  • Credit analysis, Management, and evaluation for Management decision making process.
  • Designing methods for Credit collection and management
  • Solving Customer credit related problems as revealed by data analysis and /or as a result of customer complains to management.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collate, Analyze, evaluate and interpret relevant statistics of the company’s Debt profile.
  • Developing strategies of managing categorized debts.
  • Work with consultants and government Ministries,
Departments, Agencies and Consultants for Debt reconciliation, collection, outsourcing and discounts.
  • Creating an effective credit control management framework.
  • Provide management and leadership to the credit control teams.
  • Maintainance, currency and adherence to credit control policies and procedures
  • Ensure credit control department has a thorough understanding of the energy accounting and regulatory provisioning guidelines and calculations.
  • Recommend alternative collection techniques and strategies to effectively minimize and control arrears.
  • Monitor and communicate existing and changes to legislation as it relates to collection.
  • Liase with relevant cross functional teams to maintain current contact details on delinquent accounts to minimize incidence of clear outs.

Experience and Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree or HND preferably in social sciences /or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Master’s degree or professional membership of any relevant local or international associations will be an added advantage.
  • Help desk experience
  • 5-9 years’ experience in related function
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Managerial/Supervisory role.
