Job Title: Photography Instructor - Freelance (Physical Class)

Location: Ogba / Ikeja, Lagos

Description 

• As a photography instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and guiding individuals or groups in the art and technical aspects of photography. You will play a crucial role in helping aspiring photographers develop their skills, creativity, and understanding of the craft.

In addition as a photography instructor, you will carry out the following tasks:

• Teaching Photography Techniques: your primary responsibility as a photography instructor is to teach various photography techniques, including but not limited to composition, exposure settings, lighting, and post-processing. They may cover both digital and film photography, depending on the curriculum and the level of the students.
• Developing Curriculum: you will design and develop lesson plans, courses, and workshops that align with the needs and skill levels of your students. They may create a progressive learning structure that starts from the basics and gradually moves towards more advanced concepts.
• Organizing Practical Sessions: Practical exercises and field trips are essential components of photography courses. As Instructors you are to arrange and supervise these sessions, giving students the opportunity to apply what they've learned in real-world scenarios.
• Technical Equipment Instruction: Photography involves the use of various camera models, lenses, and accessories. Instructors familiarize students with different types of equipment and teach them how to use them effectively.
• Teaching Photography Software: In the digital age, post-processing is an integral part of photography.
• As a photography Instructor, you will teach students how to use image editing software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance and manipulate their images.

Job Description

• As a cinematography instructor, you will be responsible for teaching students the technical and artistic aspects of capturing and creating visual media, such as films, television shows, and commercials. This may include topics like camera operation, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
• The instructor may also be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, assessing student progress, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
• In addition to teaching, a cinematography instructor may also have practical experience in the field and may be asked to provide professional development opportunities for students or to serve as a mentor.
• Strong communication and instructional skills, as well as a passion for the art of cinematography, are important qualities for a successful cinematography instructor.

Skills and Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess an OND, NCE, HND or Degree qualification with at least 2 years of work experience.
• Adequate experience in handling various types of professional cameras and other photography equipment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Lightroom CC 2019-2023.
