Job Description
- The incumbent will manage engineering processes in the group and also oversee engineering design projects in different phases as bid support, contracts negotiation & management and project execution & management.
- He or she will track and monitor all on-going projects in its execution and financial performance.
Job Requirements
- To manage the Engineering processes, ensuring the provision of efficient and effective design services, including design validation, engineering, and drafting components.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new lines of business and projects for Engineering Design, fostering the existing alliances, partnerships and generating new relationships to enable same.
- Proactively assess the Engineering resource gap in line with EPCM business plans and implement actions to build adequate Engineering capability to support the Operations Benchmark Engineering quality.
- Carry out budgeting activities annually for the Engineering business group including projections on manpower plans, costs and overall vision.
- Ensure correct estimation of budgets for engineering related to Proposals and Projects, as required.
- Assess and develop action plan to mitigate risk associated with project execution and the group’s profitable existence.
- Conduct market intelligence to assess potential jobs/projects.
- Build trusted relationships with operators, government agencies and viable technical partners.
- Participate in developing new business opportunities and assist in coordinating commercial deals.
- Collect and review industry related information on new projects, plants, pipelines, facilities etc. within the sector.
- Oversee the tendering and proposal function for the group and provide strategic direction.
- Support the formulation, execution and monitoring of company’s business development, market penetration strategies and operating plans for enhancing business growth and operational efficiency in the area of engineering projects.
- Act as a mentor by providing guidance and coaching to senior staff in management of their teams.
- Perform any other duty as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications
- First Degree in Engineering A second degree in Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 20 years' experience in Engineering design/management in the Oil and Gas industry, out of which 8 years must have been in a business leadership position.
- Professional Membership of an Engineering Society (COREN is required).
