Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Role Summary
- The Account Officer plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, overseeing accounts, and providing exceptional service to both the company and its clients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Record and process transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements and financial reports.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, responding to their inquiries.
- Generate and issue invoices to customers for products or services rendered.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing processes to facilitate prompt payments.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and summaries for management review.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Ensure timely monthly remittance and returns to the relevant tax authorities in respect of withholding tax, VAT, PAYE tax and other statutory payments for the company.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
- Track expenses and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure financial data accuracy and proper coordination.
- Any other duties assigned to you by your supervisor/management.

- Evidence of PAYE Tax, WHT and VAT remittance and returns monthly.
- Updated soft copy file of developments in highlighting tax additions quarterly.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Requirements
- First Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Must be in proximity to Victoria Island, Lagos.
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar financial role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Experience in tax practice and small business accounting.
Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly (Gross).
