Job Title: Facility Manager
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment, systems, and facilities are well-maintained and in optimal working condition.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
- Coordinate and supervise repairs, renovations, and installations as necessary.
- Establish and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure environment for employees, clients, and visitors.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related needs.
- Obtain competitive quotes for services and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Optimize space utilization by planning and arranging the layout of the facilities to accommodate business needs and growth.
- Coordinate office relocations and reconfigurations as necessary.
- Develop and manage the facility budget, including expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Keep track of expenses, review invoices, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, custodians, and other facility personnel.
Requirements
- B.Sc / HND in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) in facility management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Leadership and team management experience.
