Job Summary

• The Specialist Machinist is a highly skilled professional responsible for performing advanced machining operations, often involving intricate designs, specialized materials, and complex processes.
• This role requires expertise in precision machining techniques, extensive knowledge of various machine tools, and the ability to create intricate components to tight tolerances.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive experience as a machinist, including a proven track record of performing specialized and advanced machining operations.
• Proficiency in operating multi-axis CNC machines and other advanced machining equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of machining principles, metallurgy, and materials science.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machining issues.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for advanced programming and toolpath generation.
• Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with precision measurement instruments and metrology techniques.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
