It is also involved in raising young entrepreneurs in the beauty industry otherwise referred to as beauty care representatives.

We are recruiting to fill the position:

Job Title: Demand Planner

Location: Lagos
Department: Commercial
Reports to: Commercial Director

Job Summary
  • The Demand Planner is responsible for the development & forecast of future demand requirements at SKU/branch level in order to achieve business growth targets for HOTI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct current and future forecasting analysis
  • Assemble and analyze all data pertinent to creating the sales forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and eventually tier 1 account POS and inventory levels).
  • Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets.
  • Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
  • Consult with functional teams such as supply chain, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and product development to obtain relevant data and insights on demand.
  • Review and assess risk to supply and demand variability and identify opportunities to manage and mitigate risk
  • Confer with management on demand planning and forecasting assumptions, analysis, and decisions.
  • Formulate annual purchasing plans and make operational corrections based on actual demand
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Graduate degree in related field
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • CIPS is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of supply chain management, global distribution practices, inventory management, business, economics, basic accounting, statistics, and project management methodologies is desired.
Skills Required:
  • A strong business acumen with the ability to establish trust / relationships quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation are required
  • Flexibility in managing competing priorities and changing expectations while achieving results is required
  • Detail oriented
  • Extreme accuracy
  • Experience in quantitative demand planning
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) is required
