Sevan Construction Nigeria Limited was established in 1981 with Registration No. RC 37125 as a limited liability company specialized in all kinds of Structural Steel fabrication design & erection to the civil construction and Oil & Gas Industries, development and manufacturing of various semi-trailers, rigid truck bodies, which enabled the company to deliver complete projects of steel structures coupled with civil engineering.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Fitter
Location: Ilupeju, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
- To see that all Filters adhere to safety rules.
- To make sure that the workshops are cleared of off cuts and wastes
- To make sure that disciplinary action is taken against one who defaults.
- To make sure that jobs are properly planned out for Foremen/Charge-hand and filters daily.
- To take instructions from supervisors/production manager.
- To produce correct markings, cut, grand and fit pipes, plates etc.
- To be able to carry out required calculations.
- To adhere to all safety, quality, schedule requirements of fitting work.
- To be humble and willing to learn for self and others.
- To ensure that work schedules/targets are achieved daily.
- To ensure that workers are well motivated.
- To ensure that there is proper and accurate record of workers attendance/man-hour/breakdowns.
- To ensure that disciplinary measures are strictly implemented.
- To ensure that Management directives are implemented promptly.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an SSCE qualification with 3 - 6 years relevant work experience.
- Ability to interprete structural drawing
- Ability to transfer a structural drawing to a metal plate
- Excellent welding ability
- ability to use various welding and fitting tools / equipments.
