We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Description

  • The Business Analyst is responsible for undertaking financial research and reporting on prospective investment avenues.
  • The successful candidate will study how an investment is likely to perform and how sustainable it is.
  • You will also often participate in our clients’ business continuity management strategy development with a snapshot of the client’s financial health to provide the necessary data for our decision making process.
  • This is all done within the confines of OnyxIAL’s goals and vision.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Research companies, particularly in terms of their financial functioning
  • Analyse company accounts, profit and loss sheets and cash flow information
  • Interpreting complicated financial information
  • Write financial research summaries and make informed recommendations
  • Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, financial statements and various other indicators and factors to determine suitable investment strategies
  • Collate detailed, up-to-date information about the Nigerian economy and financial markets.
  • Look back at previous investment decisions and the thought process of making the investment decision
  • Liaise with financial institutions and network with industry professionals
  • Monitor closely financial press and keep a track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products
  • Compile advisory reports and make informed recommendations on new investment opportunities and funds that could enhance or diversify portfolios
  • Develop complex financial models and analyse legal documents.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree in Finance, Investment Banking, or Accounting with 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis.
  • Excellent research and writing abilities.
  • A flair for statistics and data manipulation.
  • Confident presentation abilities.
  • Thorough understanding of financial analysis and investment strategy.
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • A team player who can work independently.
