Position Overview

• We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Computer Teacher to join our team at Kids r’ key academy.
• The Computer Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging computer education lessons to students in both the Kindergarten (KG) and Grade levels.
• The ideal candidate should possess a strong foundation in computer science concepts, have a passion for working with young learners, and be capable of fostering a positive and interactive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate computer lessons for KG and Grade students, focusing on introducing basic computer concepts, keyboard skills, simple software usage, and early coding principles.
• Create lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum objectives and standards while integrating technology into the learning process.
• Utilize interactive teaching methods, educational software, and hands-on activities to enhance student engagement and comprehension.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing individualized support and guidance to meet varying learning needs.
• Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment where students feel comfortable exploring and experimenting with technology.
• Collaborate with other teachers to integrate computer education with other subjects and projects, enhancing cross-curricular learning experiences.
• Stay up-to-date with current educational technology trends and advancements to incorporate relevant tools and resources into lessons.
• Organize and supervise technology-related events, workshops, and competitions to encourage student participation and interest in computer science.
• Encourage creativity and critical thinking through projects that allow students to design and create using technology.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
• Handle the social media platforms and answerable to the administrative department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• 2 - 18 years work experience.
• Teaching certification or relevant training in education is preferred.
• Strong understanding of computer science concepts, software applications, and technology tools suitable for early learners.
• Previous experience working with kindergarten and elementary-grade students is an advantage.
• Proficiency in adapting teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Excellent communication skills to engage young students and effectively interact with parents and colleagues.
• Patient, creative, and resourceful with a passion for introducing technology to young learners.
• Organizational skills to develop well-structured lesson plans and manage classroom activities.
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms and tools suitable for kindergarten and primary school levels.
