Job Description

  • We are looking to hire a highly motivated and dynamic “Junior Business Analyst” to join our Process Optimization team. This is a role where you will report directly to the Team Manager.
  • The ideal candidate for this role is someone who possesses exceptional strategic thinking and analytical skills. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in SQL, digital marketing skills, and analytical proficiency in Excel to support data-driven decision-making and optimization of our marketing strategies.
  • In this capacity, you will align with all organizational groups, such as internal operations, performance excellence, finance, people operations, and customer service, and you will partner with these teams to help them achieve their goals in improving their processes and addressing major gap issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Digital Marketing Insights: Collaborate and drive our digital marketing platforms, analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and other digital marketing metrics. Provide actionable insights to improve campaign performance and enhance customer experience.
  • Excel-based Analytics: Utilize advanced Excel skills to create data models, perform in-depth analysis, and visualize data through charts and graphs. Deliver clear and concise presentations of analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • Marketing Strategy Support: Assist in developing data-driven marketing strategies and contribute to the planning and execution of marketing initiatives based on analytical insights.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive research and benchmarking to identify industry trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives and ensure effective communication. Working with all organizational groups to fully understand the day-to-day operations of each, and help flag operational challenges and propose solutions.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize SQL to extract and manipulate data from various sources, conduct thorough analysis, and generate comprehensive reports. Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends to assist in evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously explore opportunities to streamline data collection, and reporting processes, and address gaps in processes with the right controls
  • Strategic Thinking and Problem Solving: Ability to take initiative, think outside the box, and develop and implement strategies to achieve company targets.

Requirements

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) with a minimum of second-class upper (2.1) in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.
  • 1-3 years prior experience in analysis or marketing or technical-related field
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media advertising.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data modeling, pivot tables, charts, and data visualization.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries, perform data joins, and manipulate datasets.
  • Analytical and curious mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address potential issues independently.
  • Passion for learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Additional knowledge of Project Management Tools such as Notion, Asana, Trello is a plus
  • The ability & willingness to work autonomously/independently while in alignment with a team
  • A curious mind that is eager to learn & innovate.
  • Location: Headquarters: Lagos/Ibadan – Role requires 20% domestic travel to upcountry locations.
