Job Description

• The role holder will be responsible for the management of the financial systems and maintaining the financial integrity of its accounts, in compliance with all company, federal, and state financial regulations.
• This position will oversee financial activities which include but are not limited to managing accounting transactions, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, computing taxes, and preparing tax returns.

Job Responsibilities

• Keeping the establishment’s financial records accurate and up-to-date
• Preparing and presenting financial reports and statements to management and other stakeholders
• Providing monthly financial reports in conformance with relevant accounting standards and policies
• Reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Computing taxes and preparing tax returns
• Managing balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Reporting on the company’s financial health and liquidity
• Auditing financial records and resolving discrepancies.
• Reinforcing financial data confidentiality and conducting database backups when necessary
• Keeping up-to-date on current legislation and trends relating to finance and accounting.

Person Specification

• Minimum of a First Degree in Accounting discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to use relevant accounting software.
