Job Title: Transport Supervisor

Location: Sango Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Report To: Transport Manager
Relationship: Liaises with Deputy Managing Director,Logistics Director

Job Description

  • Developing potential solutions to problems such as congestion, assessing the impact of recent transport development and policies, such as transport system principle.
  • Prompt response and solving of customer queries
  • Ensuring transporters billing conforms to the agreed rates for all territories.
  • Ensuring deliveries to customers are tracked and arrive destination on time and in full.
  • Timely submission of operational reports with zero errors
  • Accurate tracking of all dispatches
  • Documentation of all transporters activities in a database both Normal & Abnormal situation
  • Ensuring trucks to be loaded meet safety requirements.
  • Designing research methods and survey techniques for transporter
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across cross-functional teams
  • Must be results-driven,commercially aware, and have problem-solving abilities
  • Modelling transportation flows using modern mathematical techniques and specialist.
  • Must be able to juggle multiple tasks, can work with a plan, and work in a fast pace environment
  • Ensure new on boarding transporter document are properly verified
  • Pre-planning oftruck loading available with a good communication skill
  • Proven experience with preparing budgets, and financial and expense reports
  • Ability to handleleadership role
  • Checking of mails, sending of mails and replying of mails sent from other location
  • Assisting to supervise day-to-day work is performed effectively, efficiently, and safely in order to increasetransporter gap,enhance reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance to environmental standards.
  • Managing transporters recruitment based on the required modality
  • Ensure all report consummated at the stipulated time
  • Be an ambassador for the company by being a role model for consistent professional behavior and living our value.
  • All othier tasks delegated by the line manager

Required Skills & Educational Background

  • 3 to 5 Years Proven work experience in Transport Management
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Analytical and goal oriented
  • Thorough knowledge of Transportation management in FMCG Company.

Salary
Open to Negotiation.
