A reputable company is currently seeking to employ suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accountant - Accounts Payable
Location: Nigeria
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, forecast, reconcile and control all aspects of the accounts payable function including ownership of key specific vendor account processing.
- Participate with process improvement team to identify and improve weaknesses in ordering services. Accounts payable and controls
- Prepare and/or review Vendor statement reconciliations; work with Operations department in the investigation and resolution of significant reconciling items for key Vendor Accounts.
- Review all data inputs and payment request prior sending for signoff with emphasis on internal controls through the purchasing /payables processes.
- Assist in the annual audit to ensure finalization of audited statements
- Ensure Supplier invoices are captured accurately and timely through interface with Company software.
Qualifications
- Minimum of B.Sc in Accounting or Higher National Diploma in Accountancy.
- Minimum of 3-5 year experience in a medium to large Manufacturing or trading organization dealing with multi-currency transactions.
- Associate member of lCAN; ACCA/CMA.
- Two years as a Supervisor or Team Leader
Requirements
- Must be between the age of 30 - 35 years
- Must be mature
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have good knowledge in Excel and Accounting software
- Must be organised.
- Must have ability to work under pressure
- Must pay attention to detail
- Must be confident.
