A fast-growing and newly re-engineered Investment banking and Capital market operator with Head office in Lagos state, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Oil & Gas Commodity Trading Executive

Job Responsibilities

• Cover a full range of refined products, crude and gas as required
• Carry out trading research such as supply and demand balances and other fundamental data
• Complimentary Derivative trading to add value from market knowledge, when and where appropriate
• Build relationships with external trading counterparties in order to understand their requirements, strategies, drivers, business portfolio and market views
• Working with traders to develop and implement trading strategies
• Developing and enhancing counter-party relationships in order to expand our market and increase trading potential

Qualifications and Requirements

• B.Sc Petroleum Engineering, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics or related discipline.
• Must have a minimum of 4-5 years progressive work experience
• Must have served in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector of a financial institution
• Experience in the commodity industry (Supply chain and trading)
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, effective decision-making
• Appetite for risk, comfortable taking and managing risks
• Challenging, inquisitive
