A brand-new Mats and Sacks company based in Kogi State is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location: Kogi

Job Brief

• We are seeking to employ a competent Procurement Officer that will create a buying strategy that takes into account the company's budget and necessary suppliers for the smooth running of our factories.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The person needed will be meeting with supervisors and department heads to understand the needs across the company
• Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers
• Review requests for proposals (RFPs),
• Delegate tasks to the procurement team (where necessary)
• Training support teams and or new employees where necessary
• Balance department budgets with needs
• Manage Inventory.

Requirements

• Ability to negotiate contracts
• Must have Analytical Skills
• Strong research skills on related items
• Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or officer,
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as in reading the market
• Strong leadership capabilities and decision making.
