Job Summary
- Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Officer to join their team.
- The ideal candidate must live around the Nyanya or Maraba Area of Abuja, Nigeria and should have a strong background in English, communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- As the Human Resources Officer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the company's HR functions and contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company objectives and Nigerian labor laws.
- Coordinate the recruitment process, including job posting, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating the selection process.
- Manage the onboarding and orientation of new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Administer employee benefits and compensation, addressing queries and providing guidance to employees as needed.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Handle employee relations matters, mediating conflicts, and ensuring a positive work environment.
- Support training and development initiatives by identifying employee skill gaps and coordinating relevant training programs.
- Assist in the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a culturally inclusive workplace.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in HR to contribute innovative ideas and strategies to enhance HR operations.
- Prepare regular HR reports and dashboards for management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Human Resources or a related field.
- Proven experience working in human resources roles, preferably
- Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels.
- Proficient in using HR software, Microsoft Office Suite, and HR databases.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving attitude with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
- Knowledge of diversity and inclusion principles is a plus.
- Resides within or near the Maraba Area of Abuja, Nigeria.
