IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Job Title: Research Supervisor

Background and Responsibilities
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
- Involves in planting, data and samples collection and other field activities;
- Plant DNA/RNA Isolation;
- DNA/RNA quality and quantity analysis;
- DNA sequencing and PCR amplification;
- Gel Electrophoresis and other cognate techniques;
- Samples preparation for Next-Generation genotyping and analysis of genotypic data including linkage mapping, association studies and diversity analysis;
- Supervision and training of laboratory personnel and general administration/maintenance of the laboratory;
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations of the Biotechnology laboratory;
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
- B.Sc /HND in Biochemistry, Biology or Molecular Biology with (2) years relevant experience. Knowledge in Bioinformatics is an added advantage.
