We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The employee will be responsible for the general diagnosis of pet on ailments that are internal. Services to provide will include: treatment & care, vaccination, prescribing medications, physical education and client education on pet nutrition.

Job Responsibilities

  • Testing collected blood samples for disorder and diagnosing findings with best medical practises.
  • Assess and treat internal- related diseases.
  • Communicating identified skin disorders/allergies to client while prescribing available medical dietary options.
  • Conducting physical examination and analysing pet’s medical history.
  • Carrying out diagnostics testing’s.
  • Promote the health of animals by advising animal owners about sanitation measures, feeding, and general care.
  • Daily patient clerking and updating on pet/client information on clinic software system.
  • Daily follow-up of client on pet condition and advice on post-treatment care.
  • Conduct surgical procedures on pets in line with best world practises.
  • Examine pet passport and educate client on vaccination and its processes.
  • Advising client/management on critical cases that require euthanasia.

Job Qualifications

  • Graduate of Veterinary Medicine.
  • Minimum of 2 years pratical experience.
  • Adequate Knowledge of internal medicine, surgical procedures and diagnostics.
  • Excellent communication, reporting and people management skills.
  • Ability to drive is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork capabilties.

Objective Key Results:

  • 100% communication to client and colleagues on cases handled.
  • Daily clerking of all cases.
  • Prompt vaccination/treatment appointment scheduling for patients.
  • 100% post-treatment care to all pets.
  • < 10% post-operative complications on pet treatment and care.
  • < 5% compliant from clients/colleagues a month.

Remuneration

  • Salary: Negotiable
  • Benefits: HMO.
