Job Title: Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of our firm, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • This position offers an exciting opportunity for an entry level or experienced accountant to contribute to the success of our dynamic architecture firm.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals during audits.
  • Manage vendor relationships and oversee the accounts payable process.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and financial reports for clients.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends and recommend cost-saving measures.
  • Participate in financial planning and strategy development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • 0-3 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior experience in the architecture or construction industry is a plus but not required.

Salary
N120,000 - N150,000 / month.
