Job Title: Consultant for Planning, Technical and Logistics for the National RMNCAEH+N QoC Conference

Overview

  • MCGL works in partnership with the Government of Nigeria (GoN) and partners within the national QoC to disseminate information on RMNCAEH+N QoC through various platforms and mediums. It also supports sharing and dissemination of RMNCAEH+N QoC learning.
  • MCGL QoC will be supporting and leading the convening of a National QoC Learning Conference that will bring all QoC stakeholders together, to learn, share and also bring QoC on the front burner.
  • MCGL QoC Project needs the services of a consultant to plan and coordinate the National QoC Conference. This includes pre-planning meetings before the conference, coordination during the three-day conference and also the post conference activities to ensure that its objectives are met.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinates the affair of the pre, during and post conference
  • Support the day-to-day planning and management of the conference
  • Engage with other stakeholders relevant to the planning meeting
  • Support MCGL QoC and Gender Projects to achieve its contributions to the conference
  • Support the main conference and all related activities

Pre-conference Tasks:

  • Plan and Coordinate LOC planning Meetings for the conference
  • Plan and Coordinate the Pre - Media Conference
  • Compose and coordinate Sub- Committees working on different components of the conference
  • Draw up budget and work with implementing partners for collaboration, sponsorship and exhibition.
  • Setting up venue and coordinating logistics

During Conference Tasks:

  • Plan, coordinate and manage the two-day conference event

After Conference Tasks:

  • Gathering of Feedback
  • Develop a Report on the Conference for submission

Required Qualifications

  • A qualified and experienced individual with 12 years’ experience that can provide professional services in organizing conferences
  • Have worked in the international NGO space in organizing and support a conference
  • Extensive consultancy experience with local and international organizations of at least 7 years
  • He / She should be based in Abuja to allow for free flow of work with MCGL so as to reduce cost of travel, minimize virtual meetings and also make the work easy.

Amount Payable Per Day
N70,000 - N100,000
