Job Title: Facility Manager

Location: Apapa, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We seek multi-skilled candidates who balance technical maintenance with good people skills.
  • As a Facility manager, you will beresponsible for creating a suitable working environment, ensuring facilities are always clean, and installing and maintaining adequate communications infrastructure, among other duties.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, Design, and implement operations strategies and action plans to ensure that the operations group supports strategic imperatives.
  • Design, Establish, and monitor SOPP for all sites
  • Deliver excellent operations and hand them to the operations department to cover;
  • Strategy, Plan, and Program for the Preventive, Corrective, and Restorative maintenance of all client assets by establishing a comprehensive asset register and SOPP for all client assets including all Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Power both soft and hard services
  • Establish a framework and onboard client sites on IFS CMMS/CAFM
  • Document creation and management for all executed projects and contracts including lessons learned, Issues, and Exceptions
  • Support operations for ongoing facility management activities after transition from project to operations.
  • Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs
  • Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers, etc.) and external contractors
  • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security, etc.
  • Keep financial and non-financial records
  • Perform analysis and forecasting.

Requirements and Skills

  • B.Sc / BA in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or relevant field
  • 2 - 4 years of work experience.
  • Proven experience as a facilities manager or relevant position
  • Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical / critical thinking.
