Job Description

• As a Chicken Dressing/Processing Assistant, you will play an essential role in the poultry processing operation, ensuring the efficient and safe transformation of poultry from farm to market.
• You will assist in various aspects of dressing and processing chickens, maintaining product quality and adhering to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation: Assist in the setup and preparation of dressing and processing equipment and workstations.
• Chicken Handling: Safely and humanely handle live chickens for processing, following ethical and animal welfare guidelines.
• Evisceration: Assist in eviscerating chickens, including removal of internal organs, feathers, and excess fat.
• Quality Control: Monitor and maintain product quality standards, identifying and addressing any defects or abnormalities.
• Packaging: Assist in packaging poultry products, ensuring accurate portioning and proper labeling.
• Cleaning and Sanitization: Participate in thorough cleaning and sanitization of processing equipment and work areas to maintain food safety.
• Food Safety Compliance: Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations and company policies.
• Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets efficiently.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess SSCE / OND qualifications with relevant work experience.
