Job Summary

• As a Farm Accountant you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of our farming operations.
• You will be responsible for managing financial records, budgets, and financial analysis to support effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including income, expenses, and transactions related to farming operations.
• Budget Preparation: Assist in developing and managing annual farm budgets, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and forecasts for farm management, providing insights into the financial performance of the operation.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and reconcile physical inventory with financial records.
• Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, ensuring there is enough liquidity for daily farm operations.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with agricultural tax regulations and incentives.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Vendor and Supplier Relations: Manage financial transactions with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
• Audit Preparation: Assist with financial audits and work closely with auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Cost Analysis: Analyze farming costs and suggest cost-effective strategies and efficiencies.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc Degrees with 1+ years relevant work experience.
