Job Title: Technical Sales Manager
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

Responsibilities
- Understanding the general/technical features and requirements of the company’s products and services; maintain real-time understanding of the Telecommunication and IT products & services marketplace
- Assist in ensuring the implementation of marketing programs within agreed timelines.
- Assist in developing and managing key account plans, marketing budgets and to build a strong communication platform with customers of the diverse industries.
- Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services
- Giving technical support and assistance (BOM/BOQ, technical planning etc.) to the Marketing and Operations team in order to timely close up contract and deals
- Searching for new clients who are positioned to benefit from company products or services and maximizing client potential in designated regions;
- Assist in developing product portfolio including but not limited to established services, equipment and other products; Producing support material for other members of the team
- Assist in developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements, continuous follow up with clients and improve client retention rate
- Negotiating tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs; assist in analyzing cost and sales, and reporting developments to unit head
- Calculating and developing clients’ quotations and administering client accounts’
- Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client need.
- Assist in driving increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth.
- Assist in company’s partners / Sales channel relationship management and monitoring.
- Providing technical support for contract bid preparation, presentation/defense and attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events in order to create awareness for company’s product and services with targeted prospects.
- Build strong relationships with and maintain a real-time understanding of the Telecommunication and IT products & services marketplace.
- Assist in developing new products and services in line with organization’s vision and strategy.
- Managing the proposal and contract negotiation, to deal closure (identifying, structuring, negotiating and closing deals).
- Support and assist the Head of Marketing in the formulation and implementation of the marketing plan.
- Act as a point of escalation for queries from the marketing team and other colleagues.
- Carry out research on market trends, market opportunity, and competitor and target customer analysis to inform future value propositions.
- Invoicing & following up for payments / collection etc with the clients.
- Interaction / co-ordination with other departments for the flow of information required by the clients
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or Business Administration is required;
- Strong experience (5+ years) in sales with proven track record in building successful long-term relationship with customers;
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership, think strategically and effectively communicate vision (both written and verbal) and influence cross-functionally;
- Experience in a fast-paced sales environment;
- Established quarterly sales goals and evaluated new products
- Developed strategies to increase sales of tech products
