Position Summary
  • Accountable for the profitability of all activity within the Country.
  • General management of business including operations relating to gas compression, production, plants, new products, technologies, marketing and sales and formulating annual business plans.
  • Implements Company operating and engineering policies and procedures that are consistent with corporate standards and practices set by HR, HSE, Legal and Accounting.
  • Directs the Company's operations and business activities toward the accomplishment of corporate objectives in the business unit.
  • Works closely with sales and marketing in country to maintain customer relations and to strategically meet client needs.
  • Ensures that all Operations within the business unit are carrier out in accordance with all HSE policies and standards.
  • P/L responsibility for all product lines.
  • Plans the annual business unit budget that is presented to corporate for review, acceptance and goal setting. Executing and maintains the budget with regular updates.
  • Determines operating procedures that are consistent with our minimum standards and acceptable for in country requirements that provide for an efficient, effective operating organization.
  • Assumes responsibility for the operations of process plants, pipelines and compression stations.
  • Defines and recommends objectives; develops specific short and long range plans and programs together with supporting budget recommendations.
  • Assumes responsibility for decisions on specific problems regarding operating equipment and operating personnel. Ensures all operating people are properly trained.
  • Works closely to coordinate operations and customer requirements for the best company projection possible.
  • Ensures all area operations comply with local statutory law and are properly managed relative to safety and environmental needs/requirements.
  • Participates in personnel planning and development, performance management, team building and manpower requirements.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering - plus an MBA would be beneficial.
  • Should have a proven record of successfully working with diverse cultures.
  • Must have international management experience in a multicultural environment including the responsibility and authority for strategic planning, profit and loss, operations, client relationships and ten years experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must be a team player with very good communication skills.
  • Foreign language capability is a plus.
Physical Strain:
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
  • Travel required (approx. 35 - 50% travel first year, approx. 35% travel after)
