IITA is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Our R4D approach is anchored on the development needs of the tropics. We work with partners to enhance crop quality and productivity, reduce producer and consumer risks, and generate wealth from agriculture. We have more than 100 internationally recruited scientists from about 35 countries and 900 nationally recruited staff based in various stations across Africa.

Job Title: Driver I

Job Number: IITA-HR-NRS2015-015
Location: Abuja, Nigeria

Responsibilities
  • Drive IITA vehicles to various destinations as required
  • Convey IITA scientists/staff/visitors to field work and other places as required
  • Ensure all station vehicles are well maintained and clean
  • Deliver confidential documents/letters to partners especially donors, ministries and embassy,
  • Participate in carrying out field operations/activities.
  • Carry out routine mechanic operation on vehicle Perform any other duties as my b assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification and Experience
  • WASC with valid professional drivers license (Class 'E') plus at least three (3) years mechanic experience in a structured organization.
