Veritas University was founded by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria through a resolution given at its March 2002 meeting in Abuja. The University is located at Bwari, Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The mission of Veritas University is to provide its students with an integral and holistic formation that combines academic and professional training with physical, moral, spiritual, social, and cultural formation together with formation of Christian religious principles and the social teachings of the Catholic Church.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Abuja

The Job

• The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University. He/she shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration and control of financial affairs of the University.

The Candidate

• The candidate should be a person with integrity, transparency, competence, vision, proven academic distinction and managerial ability in financial matters.
• Must not be above 60 years of age at the time of appointment.

Qualification & Experience

• The candidate must possess a good honours Degree in Accounting from a recognized university. Possession of a higher degree is an advantage.
• Must be a qualified member of a professional body such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN, CPA.
• Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years' experience as a professional accountant and of which a minimum of three (3) years must be in a University.
• Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of relevant accounting packages.
• Must possess NYSC Discharge certificate or evidence of Exemption.

Salary and Conditions of Service
The salary and conditions of service shall be as negotiated with the Governing Council.
