Currently, we are building a local and cross border service network to support air, sea and road transportation with the aim to be the leading diversified integrated logistics solution provider between China and emerging markets. By doing so, it will reduce end-to-end logistics costs between China and emerging markets while providing a stable and recognized logistics services to our customers. We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Training and Development Specialist

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • As a Training and Development Specialist,you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our employees in the logistics industry.
  • You will design, deliver, and oversee training programs that align with our company's goals and objectives. Your efforts will contribute to the continuous improvement of our team's performance and the overall success of our organization in the dynamic logistics sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department heads and managers to identify specific training needs within different functional areas of firm.
  • Conduct skill gap analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate the impact of training on operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design and develop logistics-focused training programs and materials, including but not limited tosales, safety protocols, supply chain management, warehousing, and transportation logistics.
  • Create engaging training content, resources, and assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in logistics and transportation.
  • Facilitate training sessions for various employee levels, from entry-level logistics staff to managers and executives.
  • Utilize a blend of training methods, including in-person, virtual, on-the-job training, and simulations.
  • Adapt training content to address the unique needs of different logistics roles within the organization.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluation criteria for training programs.
  • Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to assess the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HRBP’s to enhance the logistics-related components of the new employee onboarding process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Relations, Business Administration, International Relations or Relevant Course of Study.
  • Must have at least 3 years’ working experience as a Training and Development Specialist.
  • Previous experience in Logistics, FMCG is an added advantage.
  • Certification in CIPM and / or relevant HR Certification(T&D Certification)is a plus
  • Masters Degree in Human Resource Management or Relevant Course is an added advantage.
