Job Description

• We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a chef/cook who will be responsible for preparing and cooking all meals served in the hotel restaurant or banquet facilities.
• They must ensure that all food is prepared to the highest quality and presented in an attractive and appetizing manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus and prepare meals according to established recipes and standards
• Ensure that all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and is safe for consumption
• Monitor food supplies and order ingredients as needed
• Maintain inventory of all kitchen supplies and equipment, and report any shortages or maintenance issues to management
• Supervise kitchen staff and delegate tasks as needed
• Ensure that all kitchen areas are clean and organized at all times
• Assist with menu planning and development
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Assist with other duties as needed, including dishwashing, cleaning, and food preparation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years relevant work experience.
• Culinary Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Previous experience as a chef or cook in a hotel or restaurant setting
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary trends
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions

• The hotel chef/cook will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests and staff.
• They may be required to stand for extended periods of time and lift heavy objects.
• The position may require working outdoors in various weather conditions.
