We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Procurement Officer

Location:
Lagos

Job Descriptions
  • Identifying and planning procurement activities, proposing procurement plan for projects approval of procurement requests within the limits of approved budgets.
  • Proposing amendments to existing contracts, if necessary assisting in technical negotiations.
  • Processing valid procurement requests, checking specifications and ToR for completeness and plausibility, maintaining procurement files up to date, drafting tender documents, collaborating with technical, legal, and finance services, assisting in bid openings/evaluations, providing advice on rules and procedures; creating financial commitments according to valid contracts
  • Planning, coordinating, and monitoring procurement activities for the implementing projects. Supervising compliance with rules and procedures
  • Checking invoices against contracts and related financial commitments and processing endorsed invoices.
  • Setting up budgets (allocations) according to signed project documents; processing budget revisions (budget line transfers) as requested by project managers and approved by relevant authorities.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of quality products at the best possible cost.
  • Participating in the selection of suppliers based on approved criteria
  • Conducting a comparative analysis on supplier prices
  • Reviewing and evaluating the performance of the suppliers
  • Processing the necessary clearance documents
  • Closely liaising with the clearing agents
  • Carrying out all necessary procurement activities
  • Ensuring the proper processing of assigned client orders
  • Verifies quantification of orders
  • Verifies that the required order is within the agreed budget
  • Submits final invoices to the Finance and Accounts Department
Qualifications
  • Must possess HND/Bsc in relevant disciple from a recognized institution
  • Possession of additional qualification/certificate will be an added advantage
  • Must have at least minimum of 2years post NYSC working experience
  • Must reside within Lagos and its environs.
