Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- To perform laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations in Histopathology
- To prepare specimens, samples, and reagents
- To operate and ensure regular maintenance of laboratory equipment
- To participate in equipment validations, calibrations, quality controls and assessment
- To ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
- To promptly and accurately record laboratory results and present to a pathologist for approval.
- To ensure the safety of all data records generated in the laboratory
- To keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve the quality and reliability of processes and results
- To ensure and adhere to standard laboratory safety measures and checks.
- Involved with scientific meetings in the organization
Requirements
- BMLS Degree Laboratory Science majoring in Histopathology
- 2 - 4 years post-NYSC work experience
- Excellent knowledge of anatomic pathology
- Able to pay attention to details
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Team player
- Applicant must be resident within Ikeja, Agege or Oko-oba area of lagos state
