Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural Design Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing structures, ensuring their stability, safety, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• The ideal candidate should be registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), possessing a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, and able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and design structural engineering solutions for various projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Conduct structural analysis and calculations using computer-aided design (CAD) software, applying engineering principles and best practices.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and reports for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
• Collaborate with architects and other professionals to discuss project specifications, resolve design issues, and ensure seamless coordination.
• Utilize structural analysis software and tools to simulate and evaluate the performance of various structural components and systems.
• Stay up to date with industry advancements, emerging technologies, and relevant codes and standards to incorporate them into design processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Professional registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
• Proven experience as a Structural Design Engineer, with a focus on designing and analyzing structures for construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles, codes, standards, and construction practices in Nigeria.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD).
