Halcom Management Services (HMS) - Our client, an international standard, multi-speciality, acute hospital located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024. Facilities and services provided include: emergency care, surgical, medical, internal medicine, family medicine, renal care, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy radiology and pharmacy. Skilled and professional staff form the foundation of a well-run hospital. The hospital will provide up-to-date facilities and services allowing our medical professionals to work efficiently and effectively.

Job Title: Pharmacy Stock Controller (Wards and Theatre)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Department: Pharmacy

Summary of Responsibilities

  • To manage and control pharmaceutical stock in the pharmacy, theatre and the wards.  This includes the management of stock levels, minimizing stock losses, regular stock takes, investigation of variances and accurate reporting for management.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should possess WASSCE / SSCE or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a hospital would be advantageous
  • Knowledge on ethical, patent and surgical products would advantageous
  • Computer literate, accurate attention to detail
  • Knowledge of I.S.H.Med operating system and CKS would be advantageous 
  • Good organisational and administration skills
  • Customer-orientated with a strong sense of service, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Participative and able to work as part of a team
  • Ability to engage various stakeholders and must be able to deliver exceptional customer service
