Halcom Management Services (HMS) - Our client, an international standard, multi-speciality, acute hospital located in Port Harcourt, Rivers State is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024. Facilities and services provided include: emergency care, surgical, medical, internal medicine, family medicine, renal care, gynecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy radiology and pharmacy. Skilled and professional staff form the foundation of a well-run hospital. The hospital will provide up-to-date facilities and services allowing our medical professionals to work efficiently and effectively.

Job Title: Theatre Manager

Summary of Responsibilities

• To manage the patient care process in Theatre to achieve an acceptable standard and quality of service in an efficient and cost-effective manner meeting agreed budgets and to optimise the utilization and maintenance of facilities and equipment.

Job Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in General Nursing 
• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria as a Professional Nurse
• Qualification in Operating Theatre Technique will be advantageous 
• Minimum 5 years as Scrub Sister
• Minimum 2 years in a Line Management or Leadership position
• Minimum 5 years’ private hospital experience (not obligatory by preferred)
• Computer literacy 
• Understanding of legislation and regulations relating to healthcare and the nursing profession 
• Understanding of legislation requirements as it relates to private hospitals and nursing 
• Understanding of resourcing models within broader healthcare industry
