Facilities and services provided include: emergency care, surgical, medical, internal medicine, family medicine, renal care, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, pathology, physiotherapy radiology and pharmacy. Job Title: Cardiac Physiologist

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Department: Allied Health Services

Summary of Responsibilities

• To provide a high quality, patient focused, efficient Cardiology Diagnostic service within the department.
• Assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting a range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; maintaining equipment; recording test results.
• Assist in cath lab procedures. Work in conjunction with the department manager and other staff to ensure all service needs are met.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Healthcare Science or Medical Science or other relevant qualification.
• A strong interest in science and technology
• Excellent analytical skills
• Competency to carry out diagnostics 
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, confident and caring manner
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team with patients, doctors and other healthcare workers
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Good hand to eye co-ordination and manual dexterity
• Able to concentrate for long periods.
