We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
Installation and Wiring:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, control panels, and electrical devices.
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and ensure compliance with local electrical codes.

Troubleshooting and Repair:

  • Identify and diagnose electrical problems or malfunctions using various testing equipment, such as multimeters.
  • Perform repairs or replacements of faulty components, such as switches, circuit breakers, fuses, and wiring.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop effective solutions for complex electrical issues.

Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure the continuous operation of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating electrical components.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status.

Safety Compliance:

  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent electrical accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

Equipment Testing and Calibration:

  • Perform testing and calibration of electrical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy and functionality of electrical measurement devices.

Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed records of electrical work performed, including repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports and documentation for compliance, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • National Diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited electrical technician or apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and heights.
