Grange School is an all through 5 to 16 day and residential School in which pupils, teachers and parents, work and learn together.

Grange operates as a not-for-profit, co-educational, English National Curriculum, independent, day school set on beautiful grounds within the Government Reservation Area (GRA), Ikeja, on the mainland part of Lagos in Nigeria. An off-campus "House" has been included to provide a boarding service to parents and pupils. Our spacious campus includes a variety of well maintained facilities which create an attractive environment for learning.

The school is one of only three in Nigeria to be accredited by the Uk's Independent Association of Preparatory Schools. (IAPS).

Job Title: Director of Pastoral Affairs

Qualifications and Specifications
  • Minimum of Med, PGCE and First Degree in Education from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant senior level professional experience in education and student affairs.
  • Proven strong managerial and collegial leadership in student's affairs or related academic area.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership in developing collaborative relationships with students, parents and all stake holders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of administrative support areas including fiscal, human resources management, and information technology.
  • Familiarity with academic program development and administration.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the goals and philosophy of students and educational programs.
  • Excellent leadership, managerial skills and the capacity to supervise and lead student volunteers and charity programms.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting them to the Grange Executive Team (of which the successful candidate will be a member) and the Governing Council.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A clear understanding of child protection interventions.
  • A proven appreciation of the policy context relating to various student support requirements.
Requirements
  • Spoken and written English must be of a high standard.
  • Experience as a teacher in a British National Curriculum School.
  • Willingness to participate in Co-Curricular activities.
  • Must be a Nigerian
  • A resident Expatriate or a Repatriate
