We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Intern

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: NYSC

Responsibilities

• Monitor the validation of transactions and verification of their overall impact on the general accounts. o Work on financial paperwork and procedures, provide recommendations, and make necessary changes.
• Ensure all expenses are within the assigned project budget and verify the completeness of all required supporting documentation for all payment vouchers.
• Prepare payments, and bank transfers, and do the bank transactions. o Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year-end closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and submit reports to the Finance Manager as per prescribed deadlines.
• Prepare invoices to the projects for services and cost share. o Ensure account reconciliation, receivables and payables activities are performed accurately and timely.
• Identify and resolve invoicing issues, accounting discrepancies, and other financial-related issues. o Ensure timely and effective follow-up to audit observations and recommendations.
• Carry out periodic general ledger reconciliations and bank account reconciliations.
• Responsibly handling confidential information o Ensure complete data storage and update of information on the AIS (Accounting Information System) and make sure data is efficiently organized.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting or other related field is required.
• Interest in ICAN certification. (preliminary level preferred)
• Good technical and organizational skills in addition to excellent written and verbal communication skills, in a professional environment.
• Ability to learn fast.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint

Salary
N50,000 monthly.
