The Bayelsa State College of Health Technology's Governing Council in accordance with the provisions of her Law 2005, Section 19(b), invites application(s) from qualified candidate(s) for the position below:

Job Title: Provost

Location: Otuogidi - Ogbia Town, Bayelsa

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of a Master's Degree in Medicine, Public Health or other related fields with at least Fifteen Years Cognate Experience (Sec. 19(a) of the College Law 2005).
• Must be an Academic Staff of the College
• Must be a Senior Lecturer and above.
• Must have held an academic position(s) such as Head of Department, Director of Schools, etc.
• Must not be more than 55 years of age as of the time of assumption of duty.
• Must provide evidence of scholarly publications in reputable journals as well as professional conferences, Seminars and workshops attended or participated.
• Must provide evidence of membership of relevant professional bodies.
• Must be a person with initiative and vision with capacity to sustain the development of the institution
• Must be Information and Communication Technology (ICT) compliant.
• Must be a person of high integrity, free from financial embarrassment and enjoy good physical and mental health.
• Should be able to perform any other lawful duties and responsibilities as may be directed by Council.

Terms of Appointment / Condition Of Service

• On appointment, the Provost shall hold office in accordance with the provision of the College Law 2005 as stipulated in Section 21, Subsection (1) and (2).
• The remuneration of the Provost and other benefits shall be determined by the Council and shall compare favourably with that of other Tertiary' institutions in the State.
