Job Title: Content Writer / Administrative Intern - NGO / Foundation

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Manage the overall editorial function of the Foundation's newsletter, website and social media channels
  • Maintain Endowment Programme records, track pledges, send reminder notices of pledges due, and send acknowledgments of donations received.
  • Implement, coordinate, direct and maintain the Foundation scholarship program, including preparation of new scholarship agreements, maintenance and monitoring of existing scholarship agreements and maintaining regular contact with donors and students.
  • Maintain good lines of communication with the Foundation Board of Trustees.
  • General administration of Foundation operations
  • Manage Foundation communications including brochures, annual report, and other communications and outreach activities, as needed
  • The candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, informative, and compelling content across various platforms, aligning with our brand voice and messaging.
  • This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping our online presence through the creation of blog posts, articles, social media content, and more.
  • The successful candidate should have a passion for storytelling, excellent writing skills, and the ability to connect with our audience.
  • Contribute creative ideas for content campaigns and initiatives.
  • Edit and proofread content to maintain high editorial standards and brand consistency.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Love for Humanity
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Skills Requirements:

  • A solid understanding and proven experience of the use of a range of social media platforms and content marketing particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills suitable for each platform, from knowing how to write a successful tweet to use of effective storytelling techniques.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to work accurately
  • Organizational skills, with the capacity to prioritize and work across multiple projects
  • Project management skills
