Job Title: Sonographer

Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our team. The Sonographer will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for medical purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ultrasound Imaging: Perform ultrasound examinations to produce images of various parts of the body, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, cardiac, and musculoskeletal areas.
  • Patient Care: Greet and prepare patients for their ultrasound examinations, explain the procedure, and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment, ensuring its proper functionality and safety.
  • Documentation: Accurately record patient information, examination findings, and diagnostic results.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including radiologists and physicians, to assist in diagnosis and patient care.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to industry standards and protocols to ensure the highest quality diagnostic images.
  • Continuing Education: Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in ultrasound technology and best practices.

Requirements

  • Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields with a minimum of 2 years work experience.
  • State licensure or certification if required by local regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment, techniques, and image production.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different patient needs and conditions.
  • Compassion and empathy when working with patients, especially in sensitive medical situations.
  • Willingness to stay current with advancements in the field through ongoing education and training.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a healthcare team.
  • High ethical and professional standards in line with patient confidentiality and safety.
