Main Purpose of the Job

• A Packaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the packaging process at their company, ensuring that all products are properly packaged and labeled before being shipped out to customers.
• Packaging Supervisors may also be tasked with developing new packaging methods or techniques in order to improve efficiency or reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency
• Schedule and coordinate packaging team members to meet production demands
• Train new hires on proper packaging procedures and company policies
• Inspect products for defects and quality assurance
• Assist in the development of packaging prototypes
• Work with vendors to procure packaging materials
• Negotiate pricing for packaging materials
• Manage inventory of packaging materials
• Develop and implement packaging process improvements
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth product flow
• Generate reports on packaging department productivity
• Maintain compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies.

Job Requirements

• Graduate in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• 8 -10 years’ experience in similar fields
• Experience in Bottling plant, Oil filling packaging machine, Jerri-can filling
• Effective communication (both written and oral) skill
• Strong organization and management skill
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to handle workplace issues and improve processes.
