Job Title: Fiber Engineer

Location: Lagos

About the Job

• Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of fiber designs, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine fiber placement strategies, considering optimal routes and integration with existing infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project timelines, allocate
• Support the design team in generating detailed network drawings while supporting ongoing design needs.
• Coordinate with the fielding team on specific site visit schedules and data 
• Utilize project management principles to lead and supervise fiber design projects from conception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications.
• Create high-level preliminary route design and facility specifics to manage fielding request instructions
• Perform detailed OSP designs specifically adhering to design standards provided
• Perform design within allocated budgets and time frames
• Participate in developing process improvement concepts
• Review designs for quality and cost improvements
• Support design via any jurisdiction permits drawings required
• Support QC and as built efforts with design changes/update
• Engage in design engineering activities, producing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for fiber design components and installations
• Evaluate and recommend improvements in design, installation techniques, and project management processes to enhance project delivery and performance.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure alignment with project objectives
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines in all fiber projects.

Requirements

• Minimum of Degree in Fiber Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum of three (3) years working experience in given role
• Excellent communication skills [oral and verbal]
