Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)

• Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027).
• SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, with a view to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
• In addition to increasing engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

The E-Volunteer’s Role

• Cuso International and Shanty Town Empowerment Foundation are working together to improve the reach and quality of psychosocial support services offered to women and girls who are victims of sexual and gender-based violence in Calabar South and Municipality.
• As the Organizational Development Advisor, you will focus on supporting the implementation of Gender initiatives under the SHARE project by developing the capacity and supporting the strengthening of internal systems that reflect in the program quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the organization as a whole.
• Additionally, you will support the partner organization in advancing women's rights, gender equality, and the empowerment of women and girls, as well as the overall program delivery of the gender equality focused project.

As an e-volunteer, you will:

• Facilitate organizational Change
• Analyze the organization's current culture and structure
• Train current employees on new methods and programs.

Requirements
Essential Requirements:

• Experience in the development of operational plans and strategies.

Essential Background:

• University degree in relevant area (Social Sciences, International Development, Business, Gender studies).

Language Requirements:

• English Level 4 - Advanced.
