Job Description

  • We are seeking a motivated and skilled Assistant Farm Manager to support the overall management of farm operations.
  • This role will work in close collaboration with the Farm Manager to ensure the efficient and successful operation of the farm.
  • The Assistant Farm Manager will enjoy an attractive salary package and free accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Farm Manager in planning and overseeing day-to-day farm activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate farm workers and laborers.
  • Monitor and evaluate crop production, livestock, and other agricultural activities.
  • Ensure the maintenance, repair, and proper use of farm equipment and facilities.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols and environmental practices on the farm.
  • Contribute to the development of sustainable farming strategies and practices.
  • Assist in the management of farm resources and labor to optimize efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Farm Manager to foster a positive work environment.
  • Train and mentor farm workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for crop yield optimization and farm sustainability.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or related field.
  • Previous experience in farming, agriculture, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively.
  • A genuine passion for sustainable and environmentally responsible farming practices.
  • Willingness to work in Benin City and live on-site (accommodation provided).
