Department: Internal Audit

Qualifications and Experience

• Possession of a First Degree not less than Second Class Lower in Accounting or other relevant degree (Economics, Finance, Business Administration etc), obtained from Bowen University or other recognized Universities plus Discharged/Exemption Certificate with evidence of NYSC membership of any of the following Professional Accounting/Audit bodies:
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
  • Association of Certified Corporate Accountants (ACCA), Institutes of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW)
  • Chartered Institutes of Cost Management Accountants (CICMA)
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
  • Institute of Internal Auditor (IIA) will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of IFRS is required
• Twelve (12) years cognate experience.
• Membership of any of the professional Audit/Accounting bodies is mandatory.
• Relevant experience in a tertiary institution shall be an added advantage.

Salary and Conditions of Services
Bowen University runs a unique remuneration package, which is similar to what obtains in other tertiary institutions and the University is a fully residential institution. Consequently, it is mandatory for the staff of the University to be resident within Iwo or Ogbomoso, as may be applicable.
