Function
- Assist where required with day to day requests that are generated from the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Organize technical discussions with subcontractors and vendors in order to specify designs or systems necessary for an engineering project.
- Evaluate existing designs of engineering systems to determine the operational effectiveness, safety, and relative cost of such systems.
- World-wide travel to vessel to review equipment performance, install equipment, and conduct surveys for company related projects.
- Make recommendations for system improvements and present findings to team and management committee.
- Liaise with region field support personnel on equipment issues and operational requirements that need to be corrected.
- Assist with budget preparation for the team and fleet upgrade requirements.
Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering, Major in Mechanical Engineering
Special Requirements:
- Valid Medicals, BOSIET, HUET and Technical Certification
Experience:
- 7 years work experience with Marine Contractor/Engineer, Engineering consulting firm.
