Job Title: Bursar

Location: Ekpoma, Edo

Position Overview

• The University Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
• The Bursar will be responsible for three broad functions: Financial Controls, Treasury Management, including relationships with financial institutions, and Financial Planning and Budgeting.
• The Bursar will report to the Vice-Chancellor and oversee the day-to-day administration of the university's financial affairs.

Eligibility of Candidate

• A Bachelor of Science Degree or its equivalent in Accountancy.
• Relevant professional qualifications such as ICAN, ACCA, ACA, ANAN, or ACMA, plus a minimum of 12 years post-qualification experience in a university or equivalent institution.
• Considerable administrative experience within the university system.
• Candidates with FCA, MBA, or M.Sc. in a relevant discipline will have an advantage.
• Skills in budgeting, cost controls, financial reporting, tax management, treasury management, and business planning and analysis.
• Proficiency in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
• Excellent physical and mental health.
• High moral standards, impeccable character, and proven integrity.
• Age not above fifty-eight (58) years at the close of this advertisement.

Condition of Service
The Bursar shall hold office for a single term of five (5) years only. Remuneration and other conditions of service are as per the enabling laws and regulations.
